The Gold Blaze award uses metallic gold art glass that is fused and slumped into this multidimensional flame. During the slumping process, R.S.Owens artisans lift the kiln lid to form the folds of the flame as it melts over the form. Each piece is made by hand and no two are alike.

The bubble is formed by gases when chemicals are united in the fusing or melting of the raw ingredients. It does not affect the quality or beauty of the glass. All pieces of art glass are hand crafted and may have minor imperfections.
